iOS, iPadOS, tvOS

Ermetix UEM's MDM services are compatible with most Apple services and with any device running iOS 9.3 or higher and Apple TV 2 or later. Ermetix UEM talks to the operating system to apply commands and restrictions to iOS devices.

The applications are:

  • “Ermetix Agent“ for security and MTD services, available from iOS 14 or higher (iPhone and iPad)
  • “Catalog” to access the organization's catalog on devices running iOS 9.3 or higher (iPhone and iPad)

  • “Chimpa Learn” to leverage lesson functionalities on student devices running iOS 9.3 or higher (iPhone and iPad)
  • “Chimpa Teach” to allow teachers to apply commands and restrictions on devices running iOS 9.3 or higher (iPhone and iPad)

Android

Ermetix UEM was developed to support the largest number of Android tablets available on the current market thanks to the Google EMM certification. Tablet management is done via the “Ermetix Agent” app, which is responsible for applying commands and restrictions sent by the “Ermetix UEM” server.

The applications are:

  • “Ermetix Agent” to manage devices running Android 6.0 (API 23) or higher

  • “Chimpa Learn” to leverage lesson functionalities on student devices running Android 6.0 (API 23) or higher
  • “Chimpa Teach web-app” to allow teachers to apply commands and restrictions on devices via the Google Chrome app

  • “Catalog” to access the institute's resources on devices running Android 6.0 (API 23) or higher

WARNING: the use of Rooted devices is discouraged which, besides not guaranteeing stability and security, could compromise the functionality of MDM features

Windows

Ermetix UEM can be used on Windows 10 or 11 devices with a Professional or Enterprise license

The applications installed automatically are:

  • UEMAgentApp: the application that manages all security features and allows viewing scans and blocks performed on the device in real time
  • UEMAgentService: the background service that allows the application of policies and restrictions
